How to make the Puerto Rican Mami dance AI video with two photos
Updated 2 November 2026.
The one-paragraph answer
Sign in, buy a credit pack, upload two clear photos — photo 1 for the dancer who starts on the left, photo 2 for the one on the right — choose 480p or 720p and press generate. About fifteen seconds of video come back with both people replaced, the side swap at 10–11 seconds intact, and an original instrumental beat underneath. Download the MP4 and post it.
What you need before you start
- Two photos, one person per photo, of adults who agreed to be in the video.
- An account and a one-time credit pack: 510 credits (US$5.10) per 480p clip, 1,140 (US$11.40) at 720p.
- Nothing else — no footage, no CapCut, no editing app afterwards.
Step 1 — Pick the two photos
Use one photo per person, each with the face and as much of the body as possible clearly visible, in even natural light. A plain background helps the model separate the person from the photo; sunglasses, masks and heavy beauty filters work against you.
The two people do not need to have been photographed in the same place or on the same day — the studio composes them into the same scene. Keep each file under 10 MB and at least 90,000 pixels, or the upload is rejected before rendering.
Step 2 — Decide who stands on which side
This is the one setting that changes the result, so get it right the first time. Photo 1 is the dancer who starts on the LEFT of the frame; photo 2 starts on the RIGHT. At 10–11 seconds they cross and swap, so photo 1 finishes on the right and photo 2 on the left.
| Mode | What it does | Photos | Credits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Duo | Both dancers replaced and the mid-clip side swap kept | 2 — left first, then right | 510 at 480p · 1,140 at 720p |
Step 3 — Choose a resolution and generate
480p renders at 720 × 1280 and costs 510 credits; 720p renders at 1080 × 1920 and costs 1,140. Both are 9:16 vertical and neither carries a watermark, so 480p is fine for testing and for platforms that recompress everything anyway.
Press generate and leave the page if you like — the task keeps running and the studio picks it up again when you come back. Credits are only taken when the video is delivered; a failed task goes back to your balance automatically.

Step 4 — About the audio
Every clip is rendered with an original instrumental hip-hop beat, with the drum hits landing on the arm fling, the knee slaps and the side swap. There are no vocals, no lyrics and no sample from the trend's sound, so the file is clean to post without worrying about the original recording's rights.
If you specifically want the trend's sound, add the clip to TikTok, Reels or Shorts first and select the sound from that platform's library — the platform handles the licensing there, and you can lower the clip's own volume so the two beats do not fight.
Step 5 — Download and post
- Download the MP4 from the studio. It is 9:16 vertical, so it drops straight into TikTok, Reels, Shorts or a story without cropping.
- Write a caption that says what it is — two people who are not really in the canopy. Passing an AI clip off as real footage of real people is where these posts get reported.
- Post it. If the platform asks, mark it as AI-generated content; both TikTok and Meta have a toggle for exactly this.
What makes a photo work
Good photos
- One person, facing the camera, face and whole body readable.
- Even light — daylight or a well-lit room, no hard shadow across the face.
- Sharp and unedited: no beauty filter, no heavy cropping, no stickers.
Photos that get rejected or look wrong
- Group shots, mirrors with a second person, or two people who overlap.
- Sunglasses, masks, hats pulled low, or a face turned away.
- Tiny images, screenshots, or photos of photos.
When something goes wrong
The video came back but a face looks wrong
Usually the photo was small, blurry, or the face was partly hidden. Re-upload with a sharper, front-facing photo of the same person and generate again. Credits from the failed-looking render are not automatically returned, because the video was delivered — check the file carefully before downloading more.
The dancers ended up on the wrong sides
The slots are positional, not name-based: photo 1 always starts on the left. Swap the two uploads and generate again, or keep the clip and mirror it in the platform's editor if a mirror is acceptable to you.
The upload was refused
The studio rejects files over 10 MB and images under 90,000 pixels, and only accepts JPG, PNG and WebP. Resize or convert the photo, then try again — nothing is charged for a rejected upload.
The task failed
A confirmed failed task releases its reserved credits back to your balance. Retry with the same two photos; if it fails twice in a row, contact support with the task time so it can be traced.

Questions
Uploading takes a minute and the render usually finishes within a few minutes. You do not have to stay on the page — the task keeps running and the studio shows it again when you come back.
